Pre-history:
In October 2017 I was lucky to be the part of big student gathering in Republic Sakha (Yakutia), Russia. After that trip,
I was extremly inspired by that nature, people and culture. Moreover in my ordinary life I'm big lover of ethnic cultures,
so that's why I decided to do this project.

Yakutia is a diamond region, about 72% of diamonds from the total stock of Russia are mined there. This fact is widely known, however, not many people are aware of the fact that in Yakutia there are stunningly beautiful natural places that are also worthy of being called the "Treasury of Yakutia". Putting all the facts together, the name of my project is "Hidden Treasures".

Этот факт широко известен, однако совсем не многие знают о том, что в Якутии есть потрясающей красоты природные места, которые также достойны называться сокровищницей Якутии. В связи с этим было выбрано название моего проекта: «Скрытые сокровища».

The purpose of the project is to tell about unique natural places in Russia by using graphic design to support local ethnic culture.
"Кисилях" (Kisilyakh) in Yakut language translates as stone people, because the rock resemble people silhouettes from a distance. Kisilyakh is considered a Place of Power for Yakuts. There are legends, that if you could reach them by foots, you'll get enormous power and get cured from diseases.
Yakutia is one of the few places on Earth that is situated in the permafrost zone. However, the Yakut Tukulany (Тукуланы) can be called a real marvel, sand mounds in the midst of endless taiga. Tukulany are very similar to dunes.
Lena Pillars (Ленские столбы) are beautiful rocks stretching along the right bank of the Lena River for 40 kilometers. Currently, this unique geological formation is included in the list of wonders of Russia and is a natural monument of world importance. The territory of Lena pillars is under the protection of UNESCO.
Summer in Yakutia is very hot, it dries forests and burns the treetops. You can find big plateau of ice and snow only in one place at this season. This famous place Buluus - ice lake, whose name from the Yakut language translates as "glacier".
